The Charlie Puth-assisted track climbs 21 places this week with combined chart sales of 193,000, overtaking previous fastest-seller Love Me Like You Do by Ellie Goulding (172,000 chart sales). The song marks Khalifa’s second appearance at the top of the Official Singles Chart after reaching the summit back in 2012 guesting on Maroon 5’s Payphone.

See You Again also sets a new streaming record, racking up 3.68 million streams in seven days. The figure smashes past Goulding’s Love Me Like You Do, which previously held the record with 2.58 million streams.

The song features on the soundtrack to Fast & Furious 7 and pays tribute to cast member Paul Walker, who passed away during the filming of the blockbuster in November 2013.

Climbing 25 places to Number 2 this week is OMI’s Cheerleader. The Felix Jaehn remix of the song was rush-released due to popular demand and also claims massive streaming numbers this week, totalling 2.63 million.

Meanwhile, last week’s Number 1 Hold My Hand by Jess Glynne slips to 3, Spanish house DJ Dr Kucho!’s Gregor Salto collaboration Can’t Stop Playing FT Ane Brun is this week’s highest new entry and Number 4, and Years & Years’ King completes the Top 5.

#1x2: The Official UK Top 40 Singles Chart (26/04/2015)

Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth’s Fast & Furious 7 track See You Again has topped the Official Singles Chart for a second week.

The Paul Walker tribute track last week overtook Ellie Goulding’s Love Me Like You Do to become the fastest-selling single of the year so far, and has this week added another 142,000 combined chart sales to its total tally.

See You Again has also broken the UK’s all-time streaming record once again, racking up a massive 3.72 million listens in the last seven days, outdoing last week’s record-breaking total of 3.68 million.

Speaking to OfficialCharts.com about the success of the track, Khalifa said: “I was really honoured to be asked to be a part of this song in paying tribute to Paul Walker. I hope we did him proud.”

Elsewhere, OMI’s Cheerleader - which counts an impressive 3.33 million streams this week - holds firm at Number 2, followed by former chart-topper Jess Glynne’s Hold My Hand (3).
