SONY MUSIC es el distribuidor mundial de ULTRA
El conocido sello de música electrónica Ultra Music ha anunciado una asociación estratégica con Sony Music Entertainment, y es que Sony ha visto como la música electrónica está viviendo uno de sus mejores momentos, al menos en cuanto a repercusión mundial, y especialmente en Estados Unidos donde la música electrónica ha experimentado un alto crecimiento.
Como parte de este acuerdo, el creador de Ultra Music, Patrick Moxey, se encargará de la división electrónica de Sony, además Ultra Music podrá incluir canciones de los artistas de Sony para sus recopilatorios, y Sony podrá hacer uso de Empire Artist Management, la agencia de booking de Ultra Music.
Esta asociación también incluirá colaboraciones en términos de publicidad y marketing. Recordamos que Ultra Music cuenta entre sus filas con Steve Aoki, deadmau5, Kaskade, Benny Benassi, Calvin Harris, The Bloody Beetroots…artistas de repercusión mundial y que a partir de ahora también contarán con el apoyo de Sony.

Sony Music Entertainment and Ultra Music -- the EDM-focused record label, publishing house, management company and media platform owned and operated by Patrick Moxey -- have announced a globe-spanning strategic partnership between the two companies. As part of the deal Moxey was appointed to the newly-created position of president, electronic music for Sony Music and will report to Sony Music CEO Doug Morris.
Under the agreement, "covering A&R, distribution, international repertoire and more," Sony's electronic artists will be available for inclusion on Ultra's various compilation series, while Sony will avail itself of Empire Artist Management, Ultra Music's artist management wing. In addition, Sony and Ultra will "share resources to promote and market Ultra's artists worldwide."
Sony Music will distribute Ultra releases via RED in the U.S. and Sony Music Canada, while outside North America, Sony Music International and Ultra will share resources to promote and market Ultra's artists worldwide. Ultra Music will help promote and market Sony Music artists in the U.S. and Canada on a project-by-project basis.
Current artists on Ultra's roster include Kaskade, deadmau5, Steve Aoki, MNDR and international artists Calvin Harris and Benny Benassi, Alex Gaudino among others. Ultra Music announced a global alliance with the Ultra Music Festival this past August with festivals this year slated for the U.S., Brazil, Argentina, Korea and Croatia.
