After the slight sales obtained with her fourth studio album “Goodbye Lullaby” released in March 2011, the Canadian pop singer Avril Lavigne is ready to start promoting what will be her fifth album, still untitled, but that is scheduled to launch in Spring/Summer this year. The singer has confirmed via social network Twitter that the album is being mixed and hopes to start as soon as possible.
The album features producers like: The Runners (“Cheers” by Rihanna, “Swagger Jagger” by Cher Lloyd, “How We Do (Party)” by Rita Ora ), Nickelback’s lead singer Chad Kroger, Marilyn Manson, Ex-member of Evanescene David Hodges (“Because of You” by Kelly Clarkson) and Alex Delicata (Guitars for “California King Bed” by Rihanna).
On February 8, Lavigne confirmed on Twitter that the first official single is called “Here’s to Never Growing Up” and it was produced by David Hodges and Martin Johnson of the band Boys Like Girls. The single is scheduled for release in March. The title alone sounds like a “The Best Damn Thing 2.0“. Are you ready? Avril’s darkish bubblegum pop is back!
The single is scheduled to impact U.S. radios on April 8th and to be released on digital retailers on April 9th. She’ll be performing it at The Juno’s on April 21st.
